Book Making Workshops

Iowa Book Works presents "Bookbinding Across Time and Cultures"

Joyce and Gary present exciting and educational workshops providing authentic hand book making projects. Fun kits provide the precut materials. You will sew the pages, assemble the components and decorate the covers. Workshop materials fee is $40 per person. We will also display many other kits complete with easy instructions. A terrific gift!

Never made a book before? Don’t worry, Joyce and Gary will help you through the whole process. We will demonstrate the steps and provide each participant with a new appreciation of book art. You will be amazed at what you have created!

We will also learn about the history of bookbinding across time and cultures, as you investigate the wonderful IBW Prairie Journals and Pioneer book kits. Advanced workshops are also available including the IBW Elegant Sewn Boards binding or an in-depth study of ten historical binding types illustrated with the spectacular Historical Bookbinding model teaching set. Join us for a fascinating IBW workshop!
